basque ball. the skin against the stone is a view on recent situation in basque country. the film was released before spain was in the news, before the bombing, before the elections, so it is totally part of the campaign by all the sectors of spanish civilised people to get rid of the scaryly francoist right wing government, which they all succeded to really overthrow. the film is by julio medem, first class director of vacas, ardilla roja or tierra. it is showing at the nft this week, it is a good documentary, television style film reccomended by your favourite reviewer, 60
