Royal Sun makes Coconut Water, this can be bought in a can along with other drinks we are more familiar with. "Royal sun coconut water is a refreshing drink with real pieces of coconut. This thirst quenching drink can aid digestion and can help keep the body cool." Which may be useful for hot bodies out there in the sun this year. This refreshing drink is refreshing. Its ingredients are refreshingly simple: Coconut water, coconut pulp, water and sugar. Its can is refreshingly informative "the origin of coconut palms is unknown. The coconut probably originated in the western pacific. From there, it was probably distributed to both the east and west by sea and more widely by early settlers; it had reached the Americas before Columbus arrived there in 1492". Today it has reached me in a can in east London, and my digestive system where it is now aiding me. More of it would be aiding me had I not poured it down the sink. The drink is sweet and watery, with the expected coconut flavour and, as I was informed before, with real coconut pieces. Cold watery vomit. Mostly water but horrible solid vomit pieces (though the realness of the coconut remains the reassuring factor). I decided it was better that the ingredients were natural, rather than a series of flavours and colours, it made disliking the sensation better. This time reading of ingredients paid off, not put off. Perhaps an even less corrupted version would be even better. In the coconut drinking its water and odd lump of matter is acceptable, in the context of a can the lump and purity is bad. The coconut looks good, with a straw stuck out of it, in the sun, on a beach in some hot not Britain country, so the bland coconut water taste and lumpy bits can be ignored for image. A can on the dirty streets of London doesn't have such a taste blinding power. Don't buy this drink unless you like to enjoy things because you have somehow learnt to believe that bad tasting things are as good for you as you are told by their container. For your true taste of the Caribbean go some where else.
