this review is revisionist history as to the progression of the dream factory to crystal ball to the sign o'the times albums. when the revolution started to fall apart, prince shelved the project. he submitted the crystal ball 3 record set to WB but they did not want to release a 3 record album (worried it would flood the market esp since parade was release the not to long before). they compromised and gave him the option to release a 2 record set which then became sigm o' the times.
