only watched first 25 mins of this, but that's enough to give one an idea. Scorcese doesn;t really handle the period stuff well, it's all too jolly hearty and picturesque, and looks like actors dressing up in costumes dancing on film sets. Day Lewis is good. Di Caprio goodish, and Diaz appalling. The accents are a funny mess. And although no marty scorcese movie is without energy, this one didn;t hold me enough not to go to sleep.
