Dear coconut produce near appreciator,
I too have sampled many can like yours of coconut, only mine was young's and always very pleasant. True the water is well, quite watery but with a nonetheless disntinctly coconutish theme about it. I liked the lumps of coconut, yum! I figure you may have had a bad can, or perhaps you weren't destined to get on with this drink.
I lived in Asia for almost two years, where one could buy coconut shells carried on ice from a street stall handily slit open for you with a straw. Really refreshing and not unlike said canned produce only with no pieces in it, as coconut flesh itself was still intact inside of the shell, often discarded. Terrible coconutty waste! Damn, it's hot today all this coconut talk has made me eant one now... I miss those cocnutty times...
