Hey Y'all, although I live in the slightly more tasteful and affulent ( not effulent) East Devon, you want to try the following for godawful worse of British seaside towns: Paignton, Dawlish (Warren), Torquay.
Places with fantastic natural environments ruined by overpopulation and endless caravan parks that scar the landscape with an off white mass grouping of monstrosities, that make no effort to blend into the surroundings, and that's just visual. Aurally one can be treated to the soft Black country accents shouting obscentities, arguing with the locals, yelling about icecreams about 1000 decibels. Smell wise, it is usually sewerage pipes, gone off fish and sun drenched spilt icecream.
These towns have over population in the summer ( fights, sunburn, pramb races?), and severe ununemployment, smack problems, creaky signs and tumbleweed in the winter. I have been to Cromer and found it to be less awful than said places I mentioned, beaches looked cleaner. Still depressing though...I fully empathise with all previous reviewers on the subject.
