I like Conrad Shawcross's light machine, it was compelling to watch, which is enough for an art work. I liked Tal R's paintings which have an easygoing facility and delight the eye a bit. I like Kippenberger, but not particularly these paintings. I didn't like the mixed group of paintings in the boiler room or the the chicken bone op art piece. I thought the Marlene Dumas painting of naked boys was quite good. I thought the wooden galleon was as boring as the first time I saw it, but it looked better surrounded by wood panelling. I still think Grayson Perry's vases are good. Lucy Mackenzie, David Thorpe, and Dexter Dalwood make stuff that bores me with craft and concept.

Overall the galleries are still killing weak art. And there's still too much image and not enough beautiful art.
