Quite good version of Patrick O'Brian's popular Napoleonic seafaring yarn... Russel Crowe and cast all have ridiculous voices, but Crowe pulls this macho commanding part off well, and there are good buddy-love scenes for the action freaks with sof hearts watching this nonsense. The sea and ship are often too digital, and the little blonde kid is a terrible actor. It's not thrilling but doesn't make you sea-sick of it.
