Review

This Asda store is conveniently located at a stone's throw (if you're Fatima Whitbread) from Leyton tube. I had reached it from the Stratford branch, after my allotted time ran out in Maccy D's, despite a kindly worker's invitation to stay longer. My application forms were splashed out across a table, behind which two young ladies were discussing their tribulations. One of them declared her enthusiasm at separating herself from her family, which included a stupid mother and a beating-up father, both her own terms. Asda provided a world of relief and offered something for everyone, in an expertly designed floorspace. The aisles were neither too long nor too wide, and the products were appetising and promising. I found some salt, and vegetables, fruit, fish and sausages without much time delay. There was no need to disturb the Asda employees. Indeed, the till lady enquired as to my state of mind. My first experience of this store is a positive one, and I await my return with open arms. On the bus home, I quietly read the in-store magazine, which was packed with helpful suggestions and ideas. Looking back at this pleasant night-time escapade, I realise how much the store was modelled on the French design with the fruit and vegetables found in the centre aisles. Vive la difference?
