You are wrong- chechnya is not anymore inthe war for independence, cause chechnya got independent in 1994,-maschadov signed peace agreement with putin. look on the map, there is kaukasian mountain, and many small nations living there,chechnya isaround 1 million people and it is under autonom administrative since 90-comunism over. chechnya has also expanded. what happened is that in 96 chechnya with maschadov has broken the agreement applying islamic law -means that state became highlyreligious. (99 1st terroristic attack), just after russia deffended andrestricted the rules. it is very strategic earth for islamic world, and there are many interests there. If russia will compromise again as did in94, will sacrify other christian nations living around therein kavkaz. you are wrong gudging as it would be the sort of colonie. it is very childisch idea.this state is not question of 200 years occupationa nd liberation, this is the question of 1,000 years old nations and ethnics and nowexpanding quitenewviolent) religion.
