George Brecht at Gagosian London

Underlying principle according to PR is "reality is more important than art". Art is unreal? undead more like. Looks to me like a less talented, more derivative Joseph Cornell. Art schools, and bad artists have ruined the pleasure or surprise of seeing assemblages of bits and pieces in boxes (wonder if it were old when he did it?). The viewer brings only a lack of desire to create a story out of them, and an impatience for art to tell them a good one, or at least another one. Gagosian has these shows of these old guys so someone must be buying.
