http://www.100percentdesign.co.uk/ Wasn't 100% shit, just that designers like everyone else are sheep and only stray a little from the mainstream, which they think of as the cutting edge. Lots of stalls with dry snacks such as crackers and peanuts available to potential buyers, and the odd bottle of wine meagrely apportioned, or grudgingly brought out from behind. Not much innovation in that important area. There were too many flooring stands. Things these days are sleek and smooth, with the occasional warm textured surface in brown, the usual metals and rubbers which are beloved of design, and the minor juxtaposition of one use with another. The London Transport product design licencing team had the only fun, with a red bus kitted out, Austin Powers style, by some bearded cool cats from St Martins College (particularly good were the piano key plastic sofas which transform into something). It was filled with products tenuously related to, or using the intellectual property of LT, but hurrah, perhaps the filthy lucre garnered will lower our fares.
