Halloween has become Valentines day for 2030 somethings. The tubby tube is filled with ghoulish guys caked in white dead makeup and girls with tights and bright red lipstick, and maybe a hat or some fangs, but everything else applied with everyday perfection. The combination of costume and winter dread increases the supply of hormones, and not just for necrophiliacs. Halloween is sexy. Beauty still surprises when you walk down the street and someone has stripped the trees and thrown all their leaves around, it's so different, like a dream, subtly different. Then of course there used to be the bangers, but they banned bangers, so less fireworks and fear of being hit by one. It's all good.
