It's mildy reassuring to come across other people who didn't belong at school. Perhaps everyone who felt like they didn't belong and may be still don't belong in any neat cube, should have a gathering of their own. It would be an interesting social experiment to observe whether a group of convention flouters and misfits would feel more at ease amongst kindred spirits or whether the sense of dis-ease would be equally prevalent. Or do we squirm at the idea of reunions because they remind us of our past; a past which we would rather forget or believe that we have moved on from? I think it is the idea of being judged and surmised by others over a few pleasantries and canapes while we are probably subconsciously doing the same thing which, in part, sends chills down our ununiformed spine.
