I find the drummond street vege places pretty indifferent fare. It's the convenience of some place to eat near Euston rather than anything else that recommends the place. They were one of the first places in London that did an eat as much as you like buffet, and that was impressive in the early 90s, as was finding vegetarian choices. If someone's opinion of a place is fundamentally changed by one other person's counter opinion, then they were bullshitting to start with and probably already knew it. Or, if it's not so much an argument well put, but the existence of another argument that makes then change, then their opinion doesn't count for much. Maybe, since they was first recommended, the restaurants have gone downhill? It's been years after all, places that are good don't always stay good.
