The design museum makes me laugh. Situated by one of those riverside ghetto developments consisting of warehouses converted into apartments, starbucks, pizza expresses, and fancy restaurants. If soul exists, you will not find it here. The river, heaving grey reflector of light will never be spoiled by all the mindless bodies of all the yuppies on earth.

Mark Newson. Ok designer. One idea, like most designers, squidgy retro-futro stuff made out of unexpected materials. His fully reclinable airline seats were good, his sofa made out of metal also, you can see why it got him known. The rest was just like all other designers. Upstairs were other people's desings: some Jaguars you aren't allowed to touch (cars are so fragile) and a case of book cover designs which were surprisingly interesting.
