Was thinking about corporate sponsorship in the bath. And I came up with the following reasons why big firms should sponsor art shows by youngish artists.

Gearing. A relatively small amount of money can have a large effect on the outcome of a small show.

From acorns grow mighty oaks. Art by emerging artists has the potential to become the next big thing. We need support to make this journey.

Rewards. Corporate sponsors can enjoy both the excitement of discovering of new and challenging artists, and also see the effects of their sponsorship more clearly than with large shows. There is more fun and glamour about being involved with an edgy project in the east, than with the usual behemoths in central London. Small projects can help expand the horizons of those working in the corporate sector.
