It doesn't interest me to recount much plot, some one else can do that http://www.thezreview.co.uk/reviews/g/goodmorningnight.htm

The red brigades kindnapping of Italian PM Aldo Moro provides strong meat to feed the audience on. There is moody power to this movie, like a sullen Italian woman, and it impresses the draining incarceration on the consciousness of the sybarite spectator imprisoned in the theatre by choice. The cliched (has the word cliche become what it denounces) characters: Moro as wise old gentle man, terrorists hairy brainwashed brutes, pretty girl with conscience, are what let down the dripdrip tension of this stark film. That you are not let into their minds is good, that the act of terror is presented almost entirely out of context also good, that the actions are sentimentalised by the obviousness of morality is bad.
