Why is Jude Law in every film? He's not a very good actor. This movie is pretty good, although critics have said it's not a patch on the play, don't go to the theatre much so can't say. I liked the clive owen character (he played the Jude law man in the play), who seemed familiar, and thought Julia Roberts was also believable, and the also ubiquitous Natalie Portman ok, (come to think of it Julia Roberts is quite omnipresent). Time and dialogue move smartly, and there are not to many lame moral lessons. yes closer ( I pronounce it clozer as in the sales term), is not a loser.
