Jude Law plays Errol Flynn? in this. Probably his best acting of the year. I liked this long film. It spoke nicely about the fusion of OCD madness and functional millionairality . Di Caprio is good. Scorcese trots out some of now trademark madness scenes, as seen in Bringing out Dead, all hallucinogenic colours and naked wailing. The whole is never really brilliant, but you are gripped by the ambition of Hughes, which combines with the sympathetic vulnerability. Cate Blanchett as Katherine Hepburn is amusing, perhaps ridiculous. Quite good.
