I feel that 2005 will be a great year for worldwidreview. Our helmsman will be achieving even greater fame through his writing exploits, which will have a positive knock-on effect for the website. Invited to some jolly parties on the mainland but marooned on my desert island where I listen to disks, whilst making sure that incoherent patients don't pull out important tubes from their bodies. It's a perfect life for a youngster. No really, not complaining. Celebrated the New Year with my folks at home. Almost finished the Arthur Penn translations. Today, went for a walk along a cliff path with 100 people. It was muddy here and there, but not without public facilities. Passed Alan Whicker's residence. He won an OBE, I think. Made some friends on the path, then un-made them at the end. Drank some sloe gin. Someone asked what was slow about it. There was a tin for the SE Asia appeal. I think people enjoy giving to this charity. They should use the same tactics for future events. Drove back home and read a poison pen letter.
