Review

Mill speaks as if what is 'major' or 'minor' is obvious und unproblematic....the exhibition is in fact asking us (as William Nicholson's art does) to reconsider what might be 'major'. As Mill says, WN's son is a less good artist than him, but was once thought important because he did things that 'looked original' in their time (as opposed to a from 'hundred year' too late as Mill suggests of WN).

Verily I say unto you, the time is coming when we shall have to rethink so much about 20th century art.
