I was pleasantly surprised by the crafts from around the globe for rich people to have in their houses. It's officially the international art fair for contemporary objects. Which makes me think of coke cans, fried chicken boxes, and starbucks cups. Some of these were probably lurking at the fair, in some transformed witty way, made out of silver, and morphed into vases. Generally, dutch jewellery and australian pots, were hot. All clever objects made out of futuristic brightly coloured mesh were not. Small town pretty things, in tasteful beiges and grays didn't appeal either. And old' style abstraction also reared its ugly head. Reworkings of the baroque offered hope.

Still better than your average crummy design shop.
