This is great TV, the sort of program which confirms the stupidity of the eggheads and the snobs who scorn the television medium. Bruce Parry lives with tribes who have had little contact with westerners. It's beautiful and surprising seeing some of the way and the places where other people live. And Parry has an unusual ability to be sympathetic to the audience and to those he's staying with, and to communicate wonder without being patronising. He will go far in the documentary business. And thank god for a show which doesn't have some stupid pretend question in the title/concept like " how did mummies get bandages? or what were the secrets of the pyramids, or the why was einstein clever. Things are just interesting, ok.
