Obituaries hold a special attraction for me in newspapers. Last summer I read my local newspaper for what they said about the patients I had looked after. It seemed strange seeing their names in print, offering a completely different angle to their lives. It was usual quite personal things about how their family missed them. But still, I couldn't help thinking of them lying in bed chatting about the Olympics or what not. They were all quite pleasant to speak to, so now I know why obituaries are usually so kind to people.
