Review

Slightly forgotten writer, praps because his name is hard to pronounce. Very absorbing, by the conclusion you feel drained, a little overwraught, and nothing that big has really happened, yet you have a feeling of the lights being switched back on, the movie/dream/nightmare dispelled. Lush with descriptions and odd sexual longings and mysticalish philosophy. A real good read which makes you want to read more by Powys (whose brothers were also writers), and decide whether he is minor major or just a major minor.
