Bobby de Niro stars in bad films. Elizabeth Shoe gets to be a bit of totty that gets bumped. A tall model called Famke plays the good gal. Some precocious big eyed kid staring out with luggage under her apple pies gets to impersonate a spooky kid. The old chill techniques of music and mysterious POV shots and sound amplified work their sadistic magic. None of it makes sense, and that's called an amazing twist. And I am sure the paedophiles and murderers of the world will unite in their enjoyment of this fayre. The people in the cinema I was in were more frightening.
