Well actually, it's not in my 1,700 page Chambers dictionary either. Sorry about that. Must be one of those theory words that isn't actually a real word. Yes, something to do with an aura. The idea is that old art that looks like art has an art aura and a lot of post Duchampian art was an attempt to make art that didn't look like art and didn't have that aura or to give objects the aura solely through their placement in institutions without having to be bothered with aesthetics.
