Nihilist, solipsistic, short-termist, shorsighted shit. Socialism is not synonymous with communism, so the Soviet Union is inadmissible evidence. Your evident and unsophisticated loathing of socialism in no way validates your initial condemnation of the Barney review. To the extent that it is socialist at all, that review observes that most people who are wealthy are wealthy by birth, not as a result of their own striving. How does this validate your belief in competition or your assertion that poor people are poor because they're stupid? Surely a situation in which most wealth is passed on hereditarily is anticompetitive, just as monopolies in business are anti competitive. Surely there is very little incentive for those who are rich by birth to better themselves or compete and clearly, demonstrably, many of them are not the least bit intelligent. Similarly, if poor people are denied decent education, housing and hygeine by poor social policy, how are they supposed to engage in competition? Your argument is so weak, glib and poorly predicated that I suspect it of being disingenuous. But there's no underestimating the fat-headedness of dogmatic free marketeers, so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, noose shaped. You probably believe superstitious nonsense about the hidden hand that controls the market and such too. That Michael Douglas quote you like is from a film in which he was playing a villain who eventually went to jail.
