Tapas, makes you think expensive because you have to eat too many small plates. Compare sushi. In Spain it's good, so good you might want to eat it at London prices. Brindisa is very good, with very friendly staff, and very moreish food. The mackerel was a highlight which we doubled up on, tasted like a superior kind of smoked salmon. The aioli with my fried cod was too strongly flavoured with very virginal oil, and thus perhaps authentic, but unpalatable to my deacadent taste buds. Razor clams were recommended by the waiter, and were chewily deliciously garlickly great in their very stylish sleek cases. Patatas bravas also bowl-lickable in their spicy sauce. Beer by the small glass prevents hang-overs. Busy and lively on a Monday. Get there soon, it's a hit, and not by London standards a rip-off.
