Hushed pontificating all round. Surprising tasteful. The most beautiful thing was the trapezoid coffin in cypress. An aesthetic jolt. It had the look of contempoary art with its minimalism and visible dove-tail joints, and an elegant burnt on motif. The coffin is in fact three coffins like a Russian doll, though my research fails to come up with definitive answers to materials: lead/zinc cypress and elm feature probably. Three layers, the trinity, oh what phony mystery.
