Why do people make films? To make money no doubt, but in this case to honour a dead friend, an honourable but sadly not always marketable reason. What worked in the 70s for science fiction, doesn't necessarily hold true for today. The times have changed, humour, gags, our perception of the universe. Sadly, the dvd's offerings were affected by these aspects. This wasn't helped by a non-existant plot, which can only be really sacrificed for rock-solid characters (La Haine). So you ended up with a rambling conversation, that occasionally had something to interest you with, but rarely presented the viewer with something compelling. Was glad when the end came, as this was at least emotional and you thought about what could have been..
