Response to response on point one: The British zone is relatively peaceful because the British were not given Baghdad and Falluja and Sunni Triangle, not because they are British. I still don't follow your argument that Brown and Blair's involvement curtailed in the loss of life during the war.

Response to response to point two: The Iraqis know best - I agree, which is why they shouldn't be occuptied, but the whole cack-handed way the war was carried out means that they are going to be occupied for a ver long time to come (cf Kosovo - KFOR are still there, many years on...). Also, dictators have been deposed before without immoral invasions. Nobody is suggesting Saddam was anything but a despot. Isn't there some contradiction though in Blair cosying up to Gadaffi (what's he if not a despot?) but attacking Iraq?

Response to response to point three: I have considered voting Respect but on the whole I find the Lib Dem policies more coherent. Also the Respect website offered very little information on the candidate in my constituency, and I like to know who I am voting for.
