"Exhibitions by German artist Andreas Slominski grow out of his rigorous engagement with the institution involved and its context."

Oh how I love artists who engage with contexts. We no longer have conceptual artists just contextual artists. They all rely on making half-heartedly aesthetic objects with an underlying word based idea. They feed, like vultures, off beauty while simultaneously condemning it as a bourgeois fantasy of the market. The viewer, shamed and insulted into ignorant silence, looks at the remnants flung before her by the artist, and is grateful for the tiniest ping of visual pleasure.
