If you re-read you'll see what I said above already points out that 'middle class', the way it's commonly used now, is not an economic term. And 'hating the meaningless expression middle class' and hating the middle class are sides of the same coin. So what do you propose, regarding life ambitions and world outlook? Not everyone can be a destructive iconoclast, especially given that itís the revolutionaries who always end up being the new dictators, unless they die first to become martyrs. 'Minor pleasures and frustrations'? You patronising bastard, what's your day full of? Blood and guts? Wrestling with the meaning of life? That's exclusively yours is it? Middle class people neither need face their mortality nor question their aspirations, you think? If that's the case I don't think I know many middle class people after all.
