I too get sick of the general term Africa... seems such a dumb blunt word for a pretty diverse place made up of different countries, nations, races tribes, peoples, religions etc. Don't see why they all need to be lumped in together, and neither do must Africans judging by recent conflicts..
Depressing having the awful Jonathan Ross trying to be cool with Celebs during the music intervals, and not a drop of politics or even propoganda.
Digby Jones, CBI director-general, made two good points today: people should agitate for Africa to be allowed fair and untariffed entry into European and American markets ( at the moment US companies can sell food stuffs cheaper to African than African producers because of US subsidies) and that protestors should protest against corrupt and despotic leaders of African nations.
Now I know the right have a tendency to blame the victim as a way of avoiding helping them, but his proposals make sense.
