Review

I thought that some day the story by H. G. Wells and the album by Jeff Wayne would be made into a film (slightly barring the music content). A period drama stroke sci-fi set in Britain in the late 19th Century. Maybe it's too expensive to make I don't know or they are just being lazy. A classic should be filmed like a classic 100% true to the story.

Speilberg set his in America, though they got the tripods nearly right the camera just couldn't get enough of Tom what's his name? The first half of the film is dramatic and the special effects are good but it tails off after half time to resemble yet another Speilberg going nowhere film.

Keep it British
