I hear his name everywhere, but couldn't pick his music out as I rarely bother with radio 1 and the likes these days, anyway, I heard the other day that he's in the top100 most powerful people in america (or was that an american saying top 100 most powerful people in the world?) What is all the fuss about? I wondered. Tonight i saw him on Johnathan Ross, and he had me sucked in instantly. He was witty and disarming, totally unruffled by the experience, lounging on his sofa in a confident manner that seems to elude so many of the guests in that type of self-hyping round of promotional exercises that is the contemporary chat show genre. He held his own, gave as good as he took and walked away looking cool as you like. Right on! I still havent clue what his music sounds like but the guy gets the thumbs up from me!
