Does anyone know why they always have a good exhibition at the Biennale? On the grand canal in a building ignored by tourists, one sees show marked by extremity, humour, visual impact, and politics. Is is the threat of Chinese invasion which concentrates the artists minds? Or their unique cultural mix?
Perhaps all the made in Taiwan jokes forced them to have a sense of humour. Who knows?
