Review

Graffiti Brasil? Who knew? Who buys these books? Some city chic-ing graphic designer married to an accountant who likes to have something vaguely street lying around on an expensive coffee table. The artists chosen for this book are sub-banksy style stencillers and street exterior-decorators. There is none of the verve and punch of the original NY graffiti, it's all too nice, and makes you long for the calligraphic exactitude, and sullenness of tagging (those signature marks that cover are streets, unintelligible and uninteresting to most people).
