I like Ed Ruscha in this book more than I liked him in the Venice Biennale. There's lots of pictures in here thematically arranged (which works well for Ed), and it seems quite comprehensive, some art student would be pretty happy to have this book for Xmas: there are many good ideas to steal. Ruscha's carefulness can be kinda annoying, but you gotta love his buildings on fire series, something nasty and right about them. Some artist get shorter names as they get more famous( Edward Ruscha to Ed Ruscha), others longer. Why is that?
