She's good Arbus. Lots of photos inkily describing her times. Somtimes Goya, occasionally a journalist, she is very good at making good photos. It's somewhat of a mystery what makes a good photo, they look simple, just odd people with interesting faces, rectangularly framed. I am not getting very far at this review. Ok I like looking at photos of these people, because... they are odd? they are interesting, they are funny, they are often melancholy, they tell stories. banal, my observations. Their expressions belie their bodies, or the other way round, they are grotesques but beautiful in their individuality, their moment of strangeness in front of arbus's camera. But what does Arbus do? She was there. I don't know.
