When buying saucisson, ask if you can taste a sample. If that's not possible, and they're doing a 3 for 2 offer, then clean your mouth out with soap and water. Go for the soft variety, not the hard variety. If the it's too hard and tastes off, frying it is not going to make it any better. There's a certain suspension of good health that comes into play when eating cured, uncooked meat. Buy placing it in a saucepan, and smelling the after-effects you may never be able to eat saucisson again.
