Department stores are not doing well these days, Barkers, La Samiritaine and now Dickins & Jones. Who's next; will Harvey Nicks go the way of the dodo too? As long as they haven't placed all their hope in Crombie, which may have survived 200 years but may have consigned its name to sartorial Styx by marking 30" trousers as 32". Not very funny, especially after the festive season and in time for the new tennis season. Still they are £15 down from £90, though I notice that the Churchs shoes are not reduced at all.
