I am writing this review without seeing the show. For a reason. I like the title Sonofagod pictures, was jesus a heterosexual? and the slogans like god loves fucking! enjoy. having seen quite a lot of G & G and looked at the invite, which was attractive, and the website I notice one overwhelming attribute of their work. It has barely changed aesthetically in the ten years I have seen it. They have a look and just vary the content. Ok these ones are bit more over the top crazy, and in general I think they do good work, but it's hardly enough to make you stand outside a gallery drinking beer out of a bin when you can be watching celebrity big brother in the tedium of your own home.
And of course they're not unique (being two of them, ha ha). Most artists present the same shit with different motifs over and over again. Perhaps that's the way it's gotta be. But.
