Dick: 1.Thought your review was insightful. Raymond Chandler is considered by many to be one of the finest writers of the 20th Century, including me. The best writing is easy to read, agreed. If you need a road map and a mirror to understand it what's the point.
2. Change v. to very and you've got a poem there.
