Review

A show that is now over, and this review is over due. The gallery assistants are keen to assist and eagerly showed me and my companions the section of the exhibition that was over the road (these Red Church galleries are like mushrooms spreading) where down stairs there was an eerie spectacle of illuminated brains on poles, a Mickey mouse type silhouette roughly cut out of mdf and some music or sound of dubious quality. This part was murky and messy, with darkness and some light. Something like a ghost ride at a fair. Next door again were scribblings and writings, and a TV on the floor with video, and press release which explains that one of the artists recently died. This changes things. The Trolley Gallery is ostensibly home of Trolley books and there they are on a long trolley ready to be bought and looked at, something to look at next time because not all members of our group were keen to hang around. Good for you Trolley books, nice to see small publishing company.
