I stand by what I said before, but I have to admit, some of my problem with this show and others like it is the way it decisively and unavoidably kills off my cosy sense of closeness to the work. The artists are dead and the work is historical artefact. They lived in a different world, one where their work looked fresher and was shown in exciting spaces and exhibition posters were brilliantly designed and printed on decent paper.
