The portions are enormous which is good. But do we now have a portuguesish to go with Kebabish and Jew-ish? The waitress turned out to be Polish and when I asked for piri-piri sauce to go with my allegedly piripiri chicken, all they had was chinese chilli sauce. Now looking back on it my chicken, tasty though it was, was actually chicken with garlic sauce, and potatoes with onions had a hearty hint of central Europe, and my spicy prawns weren't spicy. A theory: perhaps they were just out of piri-piri. Unlikely. Was the Galician Octopus actually Gdanskian? Were the jumbo brawny prawns and the salty salt cod in tomato sauce and bold patatas bravas, mere memories of holidays in mediterraneanish yugoslavia, or even fantasies. The bread was French, as well. And the sirloin steak very good, by the way. It was all vastly plentiful, not very cheap, well cooked, and pleasantly served, and I must recommend a visit to this Portuguesish establishment as we were rather lonely there as the only diners until the endish.
