Oh dear. That boy could so easily have been me (if I wasn't actually a girl called Petra.)
I love the analogy between minor damage to the surface of a painting and messing up the beat in rock'n'roll so rap could never happen - another indication that the boy could actually never have been me: he 'got it immediately' (says typically self congratulatory curator). I'm still trying to work it out.
